Must Read Books

One of my favourite past times is reading. As a child my parents would drop me off in the book section of Grace Brothers and pick me up after their shopping was done. I would read most of my Golden Books by the time we got home and was always thirsty for more. To this day I am never without a book. I either buy them new or borrow them from the library since it would cost a small fortune to satiate my passion for reading. I read on average three books over two weeks and more if I have spare time, although with a young child that is almost never. I read from almost any genre including comic books and magazines.

Here is a list of books I think everyone should read. Click on the links for my relevant blog entries. I don’t think of myself as a reviewer of books and the list is purely based on my likes and what I remember of them. But I hope it will help you in your search for the next companion on your trip to work.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt

The End of Mr Y by Scarlott Thomas
